Indie Square is a philanthropic venture that seeks to uplift and strengthen Utah’s innovative nonprofit organizations.

Founded in 2024, we offer deeply discounted office and gathering spaces that help nonprofit organizations achieve their missions.

Utah is consistently ranked as the most philanthropic state in the nation, however, those dollars go to comparatively few organizations. Indie Square wants to close that gap.

  • Indie Square seeks to strengthen and uplift Utah’s innovative and grassroots nonprofit organizations and their people.

  • We seek to build an empowering environment - at Indie Square and in the broader community - where individuals and organizations collaborate, inspire one another, and collectively strive for excellence.

  • We are committed to the following values:

Creativity and Innovation: We celebrate out of the box thinking and coloring outside of the lines. Our community is for the people who seek new and unique solutions to old problems.

Authenticity and Fulfillment: We understand that meaningful connections are at the heart of the nonprofit sector, and encourage all individuals to bring their whole selves to our community.

Cooperation and Collaboration: Working together is essential to achieve the missions of all nonprofits. Our community seeks to enhance everyone's work through shared knowledge and resources.

Inclusion and Diversity: We celebrate the uniqueness of all who are part of our community, and strive to build a place where all people feel meaningfully included. These connections are essential to achieving the other values of this organization.

Due to our funding sources, Indie Square is not registered as a 501(c)3 organization. Instead, we are registered as a Public Benefit Corporation. We do, however, follow all ethical and moral standards expected of nonprofit organizations. This includes publishing financial information and creating annual impact reports.
